According to decision of the Minister of Economy the KOMAG Institute of Mining Technology has obtained authorization for conformity assessment within 88/378/EEC “Toys” Directive.
The process has been preceded by a series of activities, including among others:
- g etting an accreditation of the Polish Centre for Accreditation (PCA) confirming technical competences,
- getting an authorization of the Minister of Economy confirming meeting the requirements of the bill on conformity system,
- application (notification) of KOMAG made by the proper minister and transferred to the European Commission.
The range of notification, granted by the European Commission, covers the range of authorization.
It is worth reminding our partners and customers that the Notified Body is the third party, i.e. it is an independent organization, recommended by the national authorities to the European Commission, as competent for conducting the tasks resulting from the new approach directive and taking part in a conformity assessment process.
At present KOMAG Institute of Mining Technology has a status of Notified Body (NB) No. 1456 in the scope of the following directives:
- 98/37/EC “Machines”,
- 2006/95/EC “Low voltage”,
- 94/9/EC “Atex”,
- 88/378/EEC “Toys”.
