Testing of products intended for contact with food
Accredited Laboratory of Material Engineering and Environment in KOMAG has completed interlaboratory comparisons programme entitled: “Testing of proficiency in determination of global migration from polyethylene film” with very high rating. Laboratory of Department of Food Research in National Institute of Public Health – National Institute of Hygiene was the organizer of comparison tests.

Elastic range of accreditation for the Laboratory of Material Engineering and Environment
It is our pleasure to inform that the Laboratory of Material Engineering and Environment at the KOMAG Institute of Mining Technology was authorized for testing in elastic range of accreditation in chemistry.
Elastic range of accreditation means that in the above mentioned field of activity the laboratory has a possibility to react to demands of its customers by modification of existing testing methods or including of additional testing methods to its range of accreditation with no need to inform the Polish Centre for Accreditation each time.
Participation of KOMAG's specialists in the COST 356 Project

The COST 356 Project started on 14th October 2005, was finished on 15th January 2010. It was a result of collaboration among a group of scientists from 19 countries and was coordinated by Dr. Robert Joumard from INRETS Institute in Lyon (France). The COST 356 Project included a development and a dissemination of information about a comprehensive assessment of problems associated with environmentally sustainable transport, by integrating the European knowledge. |

According to decision of Director of the National Centre for Research and Development No. 59/2010 dated 15th January 2010, Scientific-and-Industrial Consortium KOMAG – ZZM, leader of which is the KOMAG Institute of Mining Technology received funds for a realization of the project within IniTech entitled “Innovative solutions of mining machines increasing power security in Poland” (acronym: INERG). |
