KOMAG Institute of Mining Technology hosted the third consortium meeting of the LapFORM project in Gliwice on October 7th. The main objective of LapForm project is the development of the contents and the implementation of an online course to assure surgeons and laparoscopic instruments designers a worthy education and training along their professional career regarding ergonomics applied to laparoscopy, matching product innovation with the needs of laparoscopic surgeons and the latter with their working environment.




We are pleased to inform that the KOMAG Institute of Mining Technology has extended its services by certification of Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Three testing laboratories at our Institute underwent joint assessment made by the Polish Centre for Accreditation. It was the first assessment realized at KOMAG in so-called integrated system where all laboratories were assessed according to the same criteria at the same time by a seven-person team of auditors.
The representatives of the China National Coal Group Corporation (ChinaCoal) and its subsidiaries China National Coal Mining Equipment Co., Ltd. (CME) and ChinaCoal Zhangjiakou Coal Mining Equipment Co., Ltd. (CCZMM), who were the members of the official Chinese delegation accompanying the Prime Minister Mr. Wen Jiabao, visited KOMAG on 1st May 2012.
Accredited Laboratory of Material Engineering and Environment in KOMAG has completed interlaboratory comparisons programme entitled: “Testing of proficiency in determination of global migration from polyethylene film” with very high rating. Laboratory of Department of Food Research in National Institute of Public Health – National Institute of Hygiene was the organizer of comparison tests.
