Using measurements of dislocations of dynamic load generator head for verification of FEM model of hydraulic leg

MAZUREK K., SZWEDA S.

Summary

Method for verification of FEM model of hydraulic leg was presented on the basis of measurements taken on a testing facility, where leg dynamic load is realized by explosive method. Results of measurements of dynamic load generator head dislocations were used to define kinematic extortion of the hydraulic leg model – conform with kinematic extortion which hydraulic leg is exposed to during stand tests. Satisfactory conformity of measurement results with the results of computer simulation of time process of under-piston pressure was obtained.

Modelling of distribution of forces acting on the operational device of mining loader

KALITA M.

Summary

Loading device of ŁBT-1200EH/LS-A side discharge loader with a telescopic boom was presented in the paper and most frequent failures of this device during operation were given. Analysis of forces acting on the operational device of machine enabled to determine stresses of tested system and to find out most loaded nods of the construction. Also directions of further research work, which should be carried out to optimize the presented device as regards its life.

WLE/M-1200B/1 ventube fan

JEDZINIAK M.

Summary

Conditions and assumptions for designing of ventube fan for ventilation of roadways of long panels, up to 3000 m, were discussed. Construction and principle of operation of one-stage WLE/M-1200B/1 fan and possible arrangement of additional equipment, i.e. silencers and stub pipes to connect ventubes of different diameters, were discussed. Work realized within a targeted project by the KOMAG Centre and Grama Company, including calculations of geometry of rotor blades, designing, testing and implementation of fan, were presented. Test results were presented and fan characteristics were determined experimentally.

Impact of height and shape of floater on a stability of measurement in a pulsatory jig

KOWOL D.

Summary

Results of laboratory tests of impact of height and shape of floater on a stability of measurements in a jig bed were presented. The tests were conducted at test stand of laboratory jig. Obtained test results shown that at constant test parameters, readings of floater in a jig bed are under disturbances, which depend on geometrical features of the floater.

New types of separators for remote control

CYMERYS A., DUDEK R., WŁADZIELCZYK K.

Summary

New design solutions of separators for remote control of mining supports were presented in the paper. Short characteristics of support and operational principles of remote control were presented at the beginning. Then construction of a typical separator included in a control system and its main components were described and new design variants of separator were presented. Special attention was paid to problems of ensuring leak tightness of separators during their operation and to proper selection of materials for sealing.

Prospects for development of hard coal mining industry in Poland

KŁECZEK Z.

Summary

A targeted project of a foresight type entitled “Scenarios of technological development of hard coal mining industry”, in which also the experts from AGH University of Science and Technology, Silesian University of Technology, Polish Academy of Sciences, EMAG Automation and Safety Systems and KOMAG Mining Mechanization Centre participate, is realized according to an initiative of the Central Mining Institute in Katowice. Previous project results, including analysis of raw minerals balance as regards predicted hard coal production in Poland and review of technologies used so far in Polish mining industry, were presented in the paper.
