Testing the hydraulic valves as regards requirements of harmonized European Standards

MADEJCZYK W., ZAJĄC R.

Streszczenie

Work is aimed at implementation of Polish version of PN-EN 1804-3 Standard, which unlike the very broad PN-G 50041:2000 Standard present in Poland since 7 years, describes in details the valves requirements and their testing. Common features of both standards include only overload coefficient used in testing the static strength of valves and opening and closing pressure for valve of A type. Safety requirements included in the PN-EN 1804-3 Standard that should be met by the hydraulic control systems of powered roof supports were presented in the paper to explain problems associated with testing hydraulic valves. Tests, which should be used to verify hydraulic valves of A, B, C and D types as regards meeting those requirements were also described.

Computer aided design of bevel gears according to ISO 10300 Standard safety directives and requirements

CZADER W., PIECZORA E., WIŚNIOWSKI J., DREWNIAK J.

Streszczenie

International Standard ISO 10300 is intended for the calculation of bevel gears load capacity (surface durability and tooth root strength). Several methods (A, B (B1, B2) and C) are specified by ISO 10300. Algorithm of computer aided design of bevel gears according to ISO 10300 developed in the Division of Mechanization Systems in KOMAG is presented in this paper. Calculations consist of preliminary design and verification design. At the preliminary design stage, when available design data is limited, approximations or empirical values are used for some factors.

Virtual model of hydraulic manipulator for guiding the hammer in jaw crushers

DINDORF R., WOŚ P., DUDEK J.

Streszczenie

A design of hydraulic manipulator for guiding the hammer for crushing rock solids in jaw crushers was presented. The manipulator has to maintain production and to eliminate any brakes caused by oversize rock solids. Improvement of operator work and increase of operational safety of jaw crusher are also the project objectives.

Hydraulic impacts in hydraulic components that control powered roof support

STOIŃSKI K., PYTLIK A., SZYMAŁA J.

Streszczenie

Initial test results and assessment of reasons of impetuous increase of pressure in hydraulic leg’s valve blocks of the powered roof support during a normal operation were given in the paper. Impetuous pressure increase can cause damages to leg control hydraulics, especially damages to valve blocks and pressure gauges used for pressure measurements in annular compartments. In extreme conditions the leg itself can be damaged what can be a reason of significant operational problems.

Change of elastic wave speed in the operating belt conveyor

LUTYŃSKI A., GĄSIOR S.

Streszczenie

Test results of elastic wave speed in belt were presented. Tests were carried out on real objects in natural conditions of underground mine. Parameters of tested objects were given and testing procedures with used apparati were described. The tests were carried out three times on the same three conveyors in the same operational conditions: for a belt without load, with the same initial tension and for the same conveyor startup. The results have shown significant differences in a speed of elastic wave in the belt as the result of their natural wear.

New solutions of mine transportation machines with diesel drive

DRWIĘGA A., PIECZORA E., SUFFNER H.

Streszczenie

Economic and social conditions force mine managements to reduce production costs as much as possible and to increase work safety. Significant potential is still in effective development of safe transportation systems. In the result of collaboration of KOMAG with transportation machines producers, series of new innovative solutions, which enable the users to make rational choice according to technical and economical conditions, were developed.

Technical requirements for devices that make possible a medium pressure decay that releases braking force in a drive of hoisting ma- chine brake of mining shaft hoists

CHOLEWA J., HAŁUPCZOK P., MAŁECKI J., OLEKSY A.

Streszczenie

Technical requirements for devices that make possible pressure decay of medium that releases braking force in a drive of hoisting machine brake of mining shaft hoists were listed in the paper. European Standards, which are harmonized with 98/37/EC Directive or support main requirements of other EU directives and concern machines equipment were used to specify those requirements. Especially the items concerning the problem of emergency stop were taken into account.

EL-2 device as the new solution of hydraulic brake control systems in hoisting machines

KOWAL L., HELMRICH P., WILK S., SZYMIK J.

Streszczenie

Results of joint projects of ELCAM and KOMAG for development of new device to control hydraulic brakes of hoisting machines were presented in the paper. Design of the device was presented and its advantages and stand test results were discussed. EL-2 device is planed to be used in hydraulic brakes of new hoisting machines and it can be a replacement of hydraulic control systems used in older machines.

Review of technical design as a tool aiding the designing process

ZAJĄC R.

Streszczenie

Every decision about starting a new product line is first of all economical decision targeted at income increase. The manufacturer, when taking a decision has to be sure that both designing and production will be realized according to rules that guarantee the product, which meets given requirements. At present a series of the methods that aid supervision of machines production in used in many factories - project management method is one of them. The present paper focuses on part of that problem which is a review of technical design.

Studies on benefits for SMEs in the 7th Framework on European Union

HORDYNIAK E.

Streszczenie

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) make a significant part of European economy – they are the main development force. At the same time they face limitations and obstacles in access to new technologies, know-how and innovative results of studies. To eliminate at least partially this difficulties, European Commission propse the activities aiming at increase the presence of SMEs in studies and offers tools to facilitate them an access to studies results. At the other hand, the research centres have benefits from that activity – enterprises that would never have a chance to order carrying out the studies due to lack of money, become their clients. So, both the projects participants and the whole economy can benefit by a realization of such activities
