KOMAG  Laboratory of Applied Tests was the first Laboratory in Poland to be accredited by the Polish Centre for Accreditation for testing the electricity generating units connected to the power grid as defined in the Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/631 of April 14, 2016 (NC RfG).

Our equipment enables comprehensive testing the electricity generating units (including PV inverters and inverters cooperating with water and wind turbines) in the scope of NC RfG / PTPiREE.

In addition to tests confirming compliance with the Commission Regulation (EU) 2016/631 (NC RfG), the Laboratory offers testing the production units according to the following documents:

  • standardized testing methods, including the following standards:
    • PN-EN 50549-1:2019-02/Ap1:2020-08,
    • VDE-AR-N 4105:2018-11,
    • DIN VDE V 0124-100:2020-06.
  • customer guidelines,
  • engineering tests.

In test our laboratory uses the following:

  • multifunctional network simulator with a power of up to 250 kVA / 250 kW,
  • programmable bidirectional DC power supply with a power of up to 214 kW (with maximum power point tracking - MPPT),
  • 6-channel power analysers and a power quality analyser.

The laboratory testing capabilities are extended by the following tests:

  • protection against islanding of electricity generating units connected to public power grid in accordance with the guidelines of PN-EN 62116: 2014-11 (Loss of Mains - LoM).
  • batteries for energy storage used in the power industry, as well as for powering the EVs,
  • electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) and electric vehicles (EV) in terms of AC and DC (CCS). The scope of tests includes the following standards: IEC 61851-1, IEC 61851-23, ISO 15118-4, ISO 15118-5. In cooperation with the network simulator it is possible to simulate vehicle charging with direct current (CCS) of a power of up to 200 kW.

KOMAG Laboratory of Material Engineering and Environment, as the only testing unit in Poland, offers full range of accredited tests of wheeled child conveyances. Among others deep, walking and twin carriages are tested. All the tests are carried out according to PN-EN 1888:2012 “Child Care Articles. Wheeled Child Conveyances. Safety Requirements And Test Methods” Standard.

The scope of the offer covers tests of:

  • durability of a pushchair construction on an irregular surface,
  • handle strength,
  • abrasion resistance of wheels,
  • durability and effectiveness of a braking and parking device,
  • strength of wheels,
  • strength to twisting and stretching of pushchair parts,
  • strength of attachment devices for fixing pram bodies and seat units,
  • durability and effectiveness of restraint system and fasteners,
  • durability of harness anchorage points and attachment of the restraint system to the seat unit,
  • release of a locking mechanism by one single action,
  • entrapment of head, body or fingers,
  • stability of baby carriages and longitudinal stability of the pram body with carrying handles,
  • accessibility of the filling materials,
  • durability of handle anchorage points of pram bodies and detachable seat unit,
  • marking durability,
  • geometric parameters of a pushchair,
  • thickness of an internal lining of pram body or seat unit and plastic packaging,
  • flammability and hazardous substances used in baby carriage construction materials.

The European Parliament and Council 2001/95/EC Directive of 3rd December 2001, regarding general products safety, imposes on manufacturers and distributors requirements of use safety guarantee for the products that are about to be placed on the market and are intended to be sold and dedicated to customers, including grills.

A grill can be considered as safe if it is conformable to PN-EN 1860 Standards harmonized with the above-mentioned Directive.

An offer of the KOMAG Laboratory of Material Engineering and Environment covers solid fuel - fired grills and firelighters for solid fuel inflaming tests performed within flexible scope of accreditation.

Scope of test covers among others:

  • product quality,
  • geometrical dimensions of construction elements,
  • engine’s work duration,
  • stability, durability and resistance to mechanical damage,
  • flammability and resistance of firelighters to humidity.

Deep knowledge on designing the special gears enabled to create 545 gears operating in different branches of industry. KOMAG specializes in designing, strength analyses and author supervision over manufacture of the special toothed gears of high power. We have special engineering software programme, which has been under development for many years as the author programme, and we use commercial version of the programme of well-known KISSsoft AG Company.
Specialists from the Division of Longwall Shearers are trained periodically directly at Swiss training centre and they are well qualified.

The Division focuses mainly on the following gears:

  • cylindrical gears,
  • angular-and-cylindrical gears,
  • planetary gears.
