Virtual prototyping of powered-roof supports in case of changeable loads

S u m m a r y
The paper presents an application of MSC.Fatigue software for the virtual prototyping of powered-roof supports in case of changeable loads, which are exerted on powered-roof supports in the test stands. According to the requirements of PN-EN 1804-1 Standard it is necessary to conduct fatigue stand tests for every set of new powered-roof support. Use of MSC.Fatigue software significantly broadens the area of virtual prototyping, which is more frequently used when new mining machines and devices are designed.
