State-of-the-art monitoring system for technological process for the ‘Bogdanka’ Colliery

S u m m a r y
The need of competitiveness of Polish coal makes the coal mines to introduce state-of-the-art solutions in the field of mining, control and management within technical restructuring. Mining in the coal mines with several highly productive mining areas needs the full monitoring of mining machinery system and transportation lines to extend, among others, the effective operation time of the machine and time between the breakdowns. Also some activities which will minimize the necessity of stopping the mining operations, e.g. because of safety reasons, are necessary. The ‘Bogdanka’ Colliery, which has one of the best results in comparison with other Polish collieries, was the first coal mine which started to implement the presented state-of-the-art solutions. Described in the paper solutions have completely innovatory character and were  developed within the project No 9 T12A 094 97 C/3716 financed by the Scientific Research Committee and the ‘Bogdanka’ Colliery.
