The Laboratory of Tests carries out testing of shackles for conformity with the requirements of the PN-G-15000-10:1987 and PN-G-15000-11:1991 Standards.

The tests include:

  • bending test of lower yoke according to item 2.4.1 of the PN-G-15000-10:1987 Standard,
  • bending test of upper yoke according to item 2.5.1 of the PN-G-15000-10:1987 Standard,
  • tensile test of straight bolt according to item 2.6 of the PN-G-15000-10:1987 Standard,
  • loading test of nut according to item 2.7 of the PN-G-15000-10:1987 Standard,
  • loading test of bow bolt according to item 2.8.1 of the PN-G-15000-10:1987 Standard,
  • determination of characteristics of joint  operation at axial sample compression according to item 2.4 of the PN-G-15000-11:1991 Standard,
  • static test of joint bending according to item 2.5 of the PN-G-15000-11:1991 Standard.

The Laboratory of Tests tests spot welded meshes for conformity with the requirements of items: 3.1.1, 3.1.2, 3.1.3, 3.1.4, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4 and 3.5 of the PN-G-15050:1996 Standard.

The tests include:

  • verification of dimensions according to item 5.7.1 of the Standard,
  • verification of surface condition according to item 5.7.2 of the Standard,
  • verification of material according to item 5.7.3 of the Standard,
  • verification of mesh strength according to items 5.7.4 and 5.7.5 of the Standard.

The Laboratory of Tests takes measurements of the following mechanical quantities (according to PB-DLB2-09 procedure):

  • relative elongation (strain gauge measurements),
  • displacement (by an inductive displacement converter),
  • pressure (by a strain gauge pressure converter),
  • force (by a force converter or indirectly by pressure measurement),
  • liquid flow intensity (by a flowmeter).

The following special measuring instruments are used for measurements of the above-mentioned quantities:

  • multipoint measuring system for measurements and recording of relative elongations, pressures and displacements,
  • measuring amplifiers,
  • recorders,
  • measuring amplifiers with a software and a possibility of computer recording for the measurements of quick-changing parameters,
  • strain gauge pressure converters, inductive displacement converters, resistance strain gauges, strain gauge dynamometers and turbine flowmeters,
  • measuring-and-recording system on the ZD-100 material testing machine.
